BREUER-ARTEMIS is a digital condition monitoring system for railway switches which are critical elements of the railway infrastructure. Thanks to the innovative sensor system, measurement data concerning the condition of switches can be recorded and evaluated in previously unavailable levels of detail. Using sophisticated AI algorithms in the central backend, the system generates forecasts and action recommendations for each monitored switch. Potential weaknesses or component failures are detected early, forecasts will be sent to the customer, and maintenance measures can be carried out predictively. Thus, the maintenance effort is reduced, the service life of the monitored switches is improved, and rail traffic becomes safer and more punctual.
